Wire Transfer Payments for AdSense publishers in India

Now, Indian AdSense Publishers will get AdSense earnings directly into their bank account through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment method. AdSense Wire Transfer Payments

According to the payment address provided by Google AdSense publishers, there are four payment options available for their AdSense earnings and these payment methods are i) Checks, ii) Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), iii) EFT via Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), iv) Wire Transfer and v) Western Union Quick Cash. However, to select a form of payment, your earnings must have reached the payment method selection threshold.

Previously, only Cheque (issued by Citibank) payment method was available to those publishers who receive payments at a payment address in India. The checks were mailed via the local courier service Blue Dart which takes 15-20 days to delivers cheque from the date of issue of payments.

Therefore, Indian AdSense publishers were eagerly waiting for the new payments system for their AdSense earnings and get rid of cheque payment system which takes several weeks to get clear and paid. But, now AdSense publishers in India will get their AdSense earnings directly into their bank account. This is because the Google AdSense Team has announced officially to replace cheque payments with U.S. Dollar international wire transfers. A wire transfer is a method of electronic funds transfer that means you will receive funds directly into your bank account.

In other words, Google India finally added the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment option for Indian AdSense Publishers so that they don’t have to wait for 3 to 5 weeks for their AdSense earnings Citibank cheques to reach and further wait for a week to get that cheque cleared.

This form of AdSense payment has been added since August 2014. The wire transfer option was initially available as an invitation mode for Indian publishers and they could choose this method for the month of August, 2014 scheduled payment for their AdSense earnings.

Now, you may go for this new payment system for any month and receive all your AdSense earnings directly into bank account just within 24 hours. Accordingly, Indian AdSense Publishers may opt-in to receive their AdSense income directly into their bank account automatically, within 2-3 business days.

However, if you haven’t received your payment within 5 business days from the date of issue of payment, please contact your bank for more details. See the screenshot for proof of my AdSense earnings payment issued date.

Google Billing Date for AdSense Earning Payment through EFT

If you have not opted for wire transfer payment system then, you must have to apply a “self-hold” to your payments settings prior to Thursday, 16 June, 2016 06:00 A.M. IST to be eligible for June 2016 EFT payment cycle.

The normal payment date in new system starts at approximately midnight (IST) on the 21st of each month and transactions usually clear in 3-4 business days.

That means after successful upgrading your AdSense account for EFT payment system, Google will send your AdSense earnings on 21st of each month provided your earnings reached threshold limit of $100.

How to Upgrade AdSense Account for EFT Payment

To avail Wire Transfer (Eelectronic Funds Transfer) payment option, you have to follow these steps:

Step-1 (Login):

Login to your Google AdSense account.

Step-2 (Payment Settings):

Click gear icon appears in the top right corner and then select Payments from the drop-down list. Now, click Payment settings from on the left sidebar menu.

Step-4 (Self-hold Earnings):

You will see Self-hold option in the last, just click on edit self-hold and select the check box that says Hold payments and finally apply it.

As long as the self-hold is present on your account, Google AdSense India will upgrade your account to EFT payments system within a few days (the next 24 hours or so) of setting this hold. Thus, applying a self-hold now will mean that you will not receive any cheque payments in future rather your earnings will be credited directly into your bank account through EFT mode.

Step-5 (Account Upgraded):

When your AdSense account will be upgraded to EFT (New) payment system for AdSense earning payment you will see a message on your AdSense account screen as given below:

“Your account has been upgraded to a new payments system”

Click on the View payments link shown at the right top corner or follow Step-2 mentioned above. You will see the following message as shown in picture. Now, you may specify a form of payment.

Go to the payment settings and click on Add a new form of payment button as shown in this image.

Note that all payments made or the payments which has recently been stopped by either you or AdSense team, as the case may be, would not be shown in the upgraded payment system. • Oh! No?
Vijay you must have to provide your bank branch SWIFT code rather other nearest bank. Please read the above article very carefully.

Let me know your bank branch name. However, you may contact service manager of your bank who will provide the SWIFT code if any.

I have an account in SBBJ bank this bank don’t have its SWIFT code and so gave me SWIFT code of Foreign Exchange branch and Intermediary bank details so I given IFSC of My branch and SWIFT code of Foreign branch with my Name and Account No. Did I done everything correctly? Do I have to give IFSC of foreign branch or My branch also Account No. of Foreign branch is also provided to me by my branch but I not found any option to enter that details anywhere.

    • You have to provide IFSC code of your bank in which you have an account. Are you sure your bank does not have an IFSC code? You may give a try at http://goo.gl/r29e5A

      • Darshit Mulani says:

  7. nick says:

    thanks,very helpful…

btw can i have a different Account holder name from payee name ??

    • Hi! Nick,

yes, you may add different account holder name as in case of Pargeet above. However, if you want to change payee name then visit Payee Profile and change it accordingly.

      • nick says:

Hi,thanks for the reply.. I set up adsense to my dad’s account @ 1st..
I really wasn’t earning that much those days.. now its much better..
now with this wired transfer I’ve been thinking of changing it to my account..
But I heard while searching that you cannot change the payee name unless its a small spelling correction.. Isn’t that against adsense rules ?
Also, is the federal bank good ? or any other better suggestions …?

        • Who says that? Actually, Google AdSense Pro Payments had accommodated name corrections in new payments system in the month of March itself.

But, now there is a option to either change completely the payee name or you may make correction in spelling mistakes if any.

Just go to the Payee Profile and you will see a EDIT text link (shown in attached image) and change the address given there so that the name and address of payee must matches with your bank account name and address.

  15. My SBI branch has not SWIFT code? What should I do? Pls reply

    • bharat jaiswal says:

Every bank has one. If your branch bank don’t have, than might they have a common swift code everybank. Like mine when I ASKED MY BANK ICICI , THEY GAVE ME THIS “ICICINBBNRI”

    • Srikanth says:

If SWIFT code is not there for your Branch. Just call your branch, they will give SWIFT code of nearest SBI branch for which your branch uses same. But IFSC should be your branch only.

  16. MKJ says:

Can you tell me which Swift code for SBI I should put nearest branch or central forex branch and shall I need to produce purpose code to my bank.
did u filled up intermediary banks detail

    • Oh! Just visit your bank branch and ask the Branch Service Manager who will give the SWIFT code.

Your bank may ask the purpose so tell them about your AdSense earnings or just say that you will receive some dollers directly into your account.

There is no need to fill up other details including intermediary bank details except the 5 mandatory fields as explained above in step-5.

  17. rajinder says:

is it necessary that bank accountholder name and adsense account holder matches? can a different name and bank details be specified in adsense payment form

    • Yes. If your Name and Address differs then your bank will not be able to identify you while receiving (crediting) AdSense earnings to your bank account.

Why not! The simple way to get rid of it is that please edit your AdSense profile. Just go to the Payee profile and scroll down to see Billing contacts and change it so that it match with your BANK Account Holder Name.

However, remind one thing that the changes must be made on or before 22nd of the month, the date on which the payment will be initiated under the EFT system.

  18. Raman Sharma says:
